[Poem] Dirty Debutant

Pure white adorns unblemished skin
Dreams are nurtured by young hands

Tended in a garden with iron gates

Constant and insistent beats destroy defences

Fantasies become shockingly tangible

Screams are muffled by raucous cries

Contemplation seems insignificant
Innocence fades into experience for the
Ageing debutant in the tattered white dress

Hi there.

Just been reading your post off the SFX Comics forum and clicked on this link from off your profile.

That's a really engaging poem. Kind of beautiful, and very knowing.

Thank you Curious Ident.

I wasn't too sure about it at first and almost didn't post it, but it's been growing on me and I'm glad I did now.

Keep your eye on my sig on the forum to check for updates :D
