[Poem] Old lies, young minds

She
smiled
at the
angels
with
their
blades
at her
throat,
Saw
reassurance in their pseudo-smiles, Believed the lies
dripping from their teeth, Found peace in a promise of
empty
eternity.
She
walks
with
no one,
she
won’t
emb-
race
us
again,
she
isn’t
any-
thing
but
cold
soft
ashes

[Poem] Keep On Going, Going Gone

Path broken,
rhythm gone

Taunting notes of a melody,
Known once, for an instant,
Gone for an age,
Cling hauntingly to shadows

Cloying beats of a dirge,
All to familiar,
Lurking always,
Rise chokingly through light

Life leaks from hidden flaws
Ever so softly drip
drip
How tempting it is to slip
slip

Is it weakness to hold on
Or weakness to let go?
